How Can Art be used as a Medium to Convey the identity of Pakistani Women?
What?
After a long time of being stuck I have decide to go back to my original idea of the Identity of Pakistani Women. I want to be able to discover and create awareness about how have creative Pakistani women been conveyed in the western society. I want this to be based more on the culture then Religion aspect.
Questions to be answered
- It is hard to start a creative career as Pakistani Women?
- What has changed over time for Creatives in Pakistan Culture?
- Why isn’t this a ideal job in the eyes of society and families?
Why?
I have seen that Pakistani women are mostly know as being housewives and uneducated. I want to be able to try and change that. Yes, now Pakistani women have jobs and educating themselves, however in the creative field I have never come across a community or family, that is happy or proud about what their child is studying when it comes to art and design. With my creative skills I want to be able to showcase, the identify the creative teaching of Pakistani women, bringing different Pakistani Artist from different creative fields together.
