I had first started with primary research which involved gathering information from books. I had come across a lot of different books that had mostly talked about health rituals and sacrifice. i knew that i needed to find both positive and negative side of Rituals. I had found a book that gave me the information that I needed.
I then moved on to Bollywood Movies, as I remember watching a scene from a movie called Padmativi, which is a story from the medieval times in Indian. This film released in 2018. It’s about a Sultan trying to capture Queen Padmavati, so the sultan rages War on Her husband’s Kingdom but the husband ends up dying in the honour of his beloved wife. She then Performs a Ritual which is called Jauhar that is a mass self-immolation. This is the scene that i found
