Instagram live has become a fun and informal way to explore ones identity, through discussing topics and expressing confidence and encouragement towards their unique life journey.
The new knowledge that I have discovered with this project, is that Pakistani women in this generation are much more vocal then pass generation, providing them with a safe media platform encourages them to communicate and recognise their identity as a Pakistani woman, which can not only help themselves but others. I have seen a change in how many Pakistani women have come forward to be part of my platform, from my first Instagram live chat to now , women listening to each other’s stories has only encouraged more like minded women to come forward and talk about their own identity, women like Atiya who was not part of this project from start off but had requested to be part of this project by listen to others, this has shown that when Pakistani women have safe and trust worthy platform they are openly communicating. Which has encouraged me to continue with the platform once this course is finished.
