After searching for something to read, as I knew I had to build up my research on this subject. On google I had come across a Article based on how Muslim women have been portrayed in the western society. This has been a short but interesting read, that all begins after 9/11.
Knowing about certain films that have portrayed Muslim women to be “a symbol of oppression, submissiveness and objects of man’s superiority”.
Even though this has been a short article I have understood of how Muslim can be portrayed thought visual media, such as films, short drama series, music. Understanding and knowing, that a change needs to be made in the way the western society have portrayed Muslim women.
