CAP – The Citizen Archive of Pakistan
I had thought it was going to take me forever to learn and understand the arts culture of Pakistan, or to even know that it actually does exist. During the lockdown I had found on google an online Exhibition/Book based on the, Roles of Pakistani women shaping the world of arts and culture in Pakistan.
It was actually so lovely to listen instead of reading though such long paragraphs. Every single section is divided into cinema, poetry, performing arts, activists and visual arts. Along with each section has a couple of Pakistani women who have recorded their voices explaining their journey.
But this was beneficial for me to know about the culture of arts in Pakistan. Knowing that Art does exist in Pakistan during the partition between India and Pakistan and there is records of this based on women. Learning how the journey of each Pakistani women during the partition is fascinating.
